国庆长假长达一周的时间，想必有很多充满趣味的事情和有意义的事情，其中让我感触最深的还是这样一件事。
其实国庆节这一天和我平常的日子没有什么不同，只是说这一天叫作“国庆节”。所以，妈妈就决定到我去逛街了。
我们上了车，车位早就已经满了。显然没有座位可以坐下，不过还是有自己的“容身之地”的。
只见车上的乘客越来越多，拥挤是不可避免的。挤来挤去的动作让我感到很不适应，恨不得有时候都想下车走路去街上。显然这是不可能的事情。可就在这时候，一个空座位明显的摆放在我的面前，我像箭似的立即就飞奔到了那个座位上，真是太高兴了。
呜！总算是坐下来了。只是这时我却看见妈妈的身影，心想大概是被人群给“淹没”了吧。于是我将目光往窗外看去。
渐渐的，不知道自己为什么总是会隐隐约约地感觉有什么东西在看着自己，让我感到非常不安。我往四周看了看，才发现是一位年迈的老爷爷在我的面前，笑眯眯的盯着我看。
当时我还不清楚是什么情况，就这样，我和那位年迈的老爷爷僵持了几分钟。就在这个时候，不知道旁边的阿姨是坐不住了还是什么原因，突然站了起来。我还纳闷呢，原来她在搀扶着那位老爷爷坐在她的座位上，我才恍然大悟。突然想起老师们常教育我们要给老年人让座，要尊老爱幼，我怎么全都忘记了呢？我真是自愧不如。
当我恍然大悟的时候，怯怯地向老爷爷望了一眼，只见老爷爷一脸失望的表情。这让我感到非常惭愧。因为受到这件事的影响，整个逛街的过程仿佛对于我来说，已经没有多大的意义了。
回到家，自己也想了很久，最后自己心里暗下决定，以后一定要吸取这次事情的教训，不要再发生同样的事情了！

让座

国庆长假的第四天，妈妈带我去九州买衣服。
我们上了31路车，因为车子刚从底站开出，所以还有很多空位，我和妈妈各自找了一个座位坐下来。车子到第二站了，一下子上来了好多人，一位老奶奶也上来了，她有点吃力地扶着车子的拉手，可是这时车上已经没有空位了。
车子就要开了，我心想：老奶奶这样说不定会摔倒呢。于是急忙站起来，走到老奶奶身边，说：“奶奶，您坐我的座位上吧。”老奶奶笑着说：“谢谢你，真是个有礼貌的好孩子。”
这时车上的叔叔阿姨都看着我，夸我懂事，有的还问我叫什么名字，妈妈也赞许地对我点点头，我心里别提有多高兴了。
今天我真开心，因为我把方便和快乐带给了一位素不相识的老奶奶。

生活中我经常看到在公交车上许多有爱心的人给需要帮助的人让座，而让我刻骨铭心的，只有一次。
春运期间，许多人都要去办年货，我和妈妈挤上公交车，令人遗憾的是已经没有座位了。当我站得腰酸背痛时，一位坐在座位上的大人起身走向了下车处，我喜出望外，立即坐到了那个位置上。汽车缓缓前进着，一位老人拄着拐杖上了车，他环视了一下四周，发现没有座位了，失望的低下了头。汽车启动了，老人没站稳，打了个趔趄，使我吓得心惊肉跳。我想给老人让座，可念一想：这个座位是我辛辛苦苦抢到的，不能把它拱手相让。但我看到老人越来越苍白的面孔和在微微颤动的双腿，我的决心动摇了。我想：老人怪可怜的，老人已经老了，站了这么久肯定很累，可我是小孩，比老人体力好。正当我犹豫不决时，一位大姐姐站了起来，把座位让给了老人，老人说：“不用了。”老人显然很通情达理。大姐姐却说：“您坐吧，我就要下车了。”说完就把老人扶起坐在她之前坐的位置上，然后走向了下车的地方。过了许久，终于到站了，在我下车后，我看到了一个熟悉的身影――那位给老人让座的大姐姐。我顿时间明白了：原来大姐姐没有下车，而是躲在下车处。我的脸顿时间涨得通红，大姐姐的行为感染了我，给了我的心灵一次全新的洗礼。在以后的岁月里大姐姐关爱他人的品质一直鼓舞着我。
大姐姐不仅让给了老人座位，还让出了她高尚的道德品质，让出了一条让我循着她走的脚印去走的路。这件事已经过去很久了，但它一直留在我的记忆深处，使我无法忘怀。
We were always taught to give up our seats to the elderly, the weak, the ill, the handicapped, and the pregnant. It is a standard practice, justified by our own morality: we feel that those who need the seats more should get them. However, under some circumstances, people don"t want to give up their seats. For example, should a young person who is exhausted after working all night still stand up in favor of someone older but full of energy? There is controversy about exactly where to draw the line in general, but I think that as youthful individuals, we should all try to give up our seats as much as possible. After all, we are setting a good example for the children of our own day, who will hopefully grow up and follow in our footsteps, setting in motion a cycle of goodwill.

Every time when I get on the bus, I won"t choose to sit down in the first row, because these seats are often offered to the old and sick people. So as a teenager, sometimes I feel guilty to sit down. In the last decades, we had been educated to let the old and sick people to sit down in the bus. It was the tradition to respect the old in China. But from the news, we have witnessed some old people are rude. They thought it was their privilege to have the seat, so when they weren"t offered the seat in the bus, they blamed the young people. Actually, it is the young people"s choice to decide whether they want to offer the seat or not. The old people should be gratitude and be nice to the one who help them.
每次我坐公共汽车的时候，我都不会选择在第一排坐下来，因为这些座位主要是提供给老人和病人的，所以作为一个十几岁的孩子，有时坐下来我会觉得很内疚。在过去的几十年里，我们接受的教育是在公交车上要主动给给老人和病人让座。在中国尊重老人是一种传统。但是从新闻上看，我们看到一些老人们很粗鲁，他们认为座位是他们的特权，所以当他们没在公车上得到座位时，他们就责怪年轻人。实际上，年轻人有权选择是否要让座。老人应该感恩，善待帮助他们的人。

Recently, we’ve had a discussion about whether we should offer seats to old people on the bus. Our opinions are divided on this topic.
Most of the students are in favor of it. In their views, there are two factors contributing to this attitude as follows: on the one hand, there is no doubt that this behavior is our traditional virtue(美德), so it is our duty. On the other hand, offering seats to old people can show our good manners, which leaves deep good impression on other people.
However, others are strongly against it. Their reasons are as follows. In the first place, in some foreign cultures, it is not polite to do that because it shows we don’t believe the old people can do things by themselves, which tells them they are too old. What’s more, this behavior doesn’t suit the concept of equality advocated in the contemporary society.
Personally speaking, I firmly support it. When I help the old, they are so grateful that they thank me again and again, which makes me happy as well. Where there is a willing hand, there is warmth. Sometimes it is just such little things that will make a big difference. So we should be ready to provide our help at any time. The more good deeds we do, the more harmonious our society will be!
